The International SPARTATHLON Ultra Distance Foot Race is held each year on the last weekend of
September. Covering a distance of 250 Km between the cities of Athens and Sparta, the race is rated
as being one of the most difficult on the international ultra calendar. Like the Marathon the Spartathlon
shares an historical background and attracts participants from all over the world. The race is organised
